Read the temperature pattern
Let the normal heating cycle run before judging a cold patch, and note whether the room warms comfortably. Avoid touching hot radiator surfaces or pipes.

Balancing, air or deposits?
Bleeding releases air, not sludge. Repeated bleeding, topping up or draining does not clean deposits out. If air returns or a cold patch remains, arrange a check.
Balancing adjusts how water is shared. Vaillant describes uneven heating and different warm-up times as reasons to assess it. Random lockshield changes or pump-speed adjustments do not establish the cause.
If deposits are confirmed, cleaning may help. A powerflush circulates water to remove debris, but the method must suit the system’s condition and layout.
